Thoughts on Facebook

Nowadays, majority of people are conjugated with a certain website. People are either using their time spending on Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace, etc. These websites have changed people's interpersonal relationship and communication with others.
Facebook has over 175 million users. Judging from that number, these people are either using Facebook regularly or in other occasions. Facebook is gaining a rapid popularity and power. when i first created my account on 2008, there were less than 20 million users that time. Now, Facebook has sky rocketed. Moreover, i have seen some weird activities of some users on this site.
Some uses Facebook as a merchandising sites, posting some photos of products they are selling. Some uses it as randomly having friends with different people, and some uses Facebook as connected to personal life.
Facebook has really influenced every users. these days, its' power is drastically increasing over time. moreover, people tend to spend most of their time on Facebook and neglecting some personal activities. in other words, it is like being on a "second life".

My Favorite Website

Since the discovery of the most popular machine in this world, the computer - people have been looking for something to entertain themselves. The internet had been the most entertaining stuff that had been discovered in this era so far. Multiple of sites and blogs have been lurking around the net. Due to this discovery, people tend to stick or stay to a certain website to entertain or to inform themselves.  As for me, I usually interact into three websites which are Google(Gmail), Facebook, and you tube. Facebook has been a really popular site; hypothetically, I have been dragged by it’s magic-like persuasion and it had become my favorite website.
I like Facebook because it has some sort of persuasive approach to any user. Before, myspace had been the most famous site which I look up to every single day and waste time staying on that site. If I compare Myspace to Facebook, Facebook has an initial advantage. Why? Because it is easy to navigate and have all the important details to follow up. Moreover, from the past recent years, Facebook has been going on top of Myspace and at the same time pulling out all the myspace users to itself.
Furthermore, through this social networking website you can do all sorts of things. You can change your identity or be true to others. Online dating is prolific as well on this site. Furthermore, you can upload and delete photos instantly.
Facebook has captured a lot of people’s attention. Whether it is old or young, they began spending most of their time interacting throught this website.

Text or Film?

People have different techniques in learning. There are some bizarre people which multitasking is just a piece of cake. Whether its film or text, it doesn’t matter if it’s a way to learn. The nature of learning is inevitable through text or by means of graphical situations.
Learning depends generally on a certain generations. The baby boomers are the ones who are more applicable in learning with text due to their generations. During their generations, books are more prolific than technological reading gadgets such as tablets, etc. Another point would be that, using text instead of media means gives you more concentration and understanding on a topic. From the past, people can learn effectively even without modern technologies. For example, Albert Einstein never experienced learning from a computer nor know how to make it work, but through text he’s now one of the respectful names in history.  For me, I tend to learn more from reading text rather than films or media texts. I first noticed this when I bought the ebook for my Philosophy class. I couldn’t concentrate reading the material through internet. It didn’t gave me the click of concentration.
For some people, early generations are the ones who tend to depend on technology. As I have said on my previous blog about the deterioration of books due to technology, sooner or later people will be ordained to learn from tablets or computers. One of my professors said, “these days, education system is getting worse because of technology…” Just to sum up what he just said, some of the colleges depends more on computers during lectures. Instructors became useless in their site and the text learning deteriorates.
Text or film are the two means of learning. It all depends on each individual.

Thoughts on Plagiarism

Every individual has its own skepticism about what to write or their thoughts of what to write. Students thinks that their ideas are somehow not good enough to stand for its own. Therefore, plagiarism rises up and proliferate the mind and the urge of students in writing. Plagiarism is an unacceptable type of writing piece because people tend to be more dependent on people's ideas and work.
Stealing other's idea is equivalent to a habitual cheating. Other's ideas are precious because they gather informations and thoughts which are originally composed by them. Moreover, since one's thought are original, stealing their composition is perceived as illegal. Definitely, it is hard to come up with a great idea so plagiarism is forbid. Furthermore, this era -- students tends to be more resilient in their laziness, so they tend to just sit in front of the computer and start plagiarizing.
The consequences of plagiarism are extremely beyond imagination. The punishment of plagiarizing depends on educational level. In high school, punishments are not severely scarce to be scared with, but it is meant to learn from a mistake. College level is when u need to neglect all your thoughts and temptations about plagiarism. The consequences on this level are not a joke. Plagiarizing can lead to expulsion and will disgrace your name from applying or being admitted to another colleges or universities.
In conclusion, plagiarizing is just a mere "copy" of someone else's work. A punishment will be indicted if caught plagiarizing. This will cause the deterioration of your egoistic self and will give a stain to your name.

How to End Racism and Classism?

Racism and classism are both prolific on the most diverse place. United States is the most diverse country in this world, and has the most racial and class discrimination. Despite of the taking off the effect of racism, still racism and classism are inevitable. Racism and classism can be end via faith, law, and psychological explanations.
Due to slavery, racism had spread throughout the country. Black people were renowned as the greatest slaves when slavery was still a big part of United States. because of this, the local people look down upon them as if they were just a mere poultry animals. Since then, racism had been a big impact to this society. Another racial example is about the Hispanic dilemma. Since the border scandal between Mexico and United States, multiple people have a negative intuition towards Hispanic people. Stereotypes emerged immensely throughout the country. A proof to this was the government act on the State of Texas. They have induced a somewhat racial discrimination concerning the Hispanic people. Interviewing and some were abducted.
Moreover, classism had been the twin brother of racism. White dominance in United States has the higher voice on governing the country while the native Americans has no voice at all. Classism is somewhat owning a right in this country. Every person has a right but some has limitations due to calssism.
Racism and classism are not acknowledged in some cases. At certain religious views, all people are equal to each and everyone's eye. In Christianity, the bible talks about that every person is equal to God's sight and will not discriminate. This is how Classism will be eliminated somehow. Law can be proposed to end racism and classism. Talking about republicans, they have the strictest personally which can force people by law to end this conflict.
Finally, racism and classism are still debatable up until now. Every ethnicity has some sort of qualities that built up a stereotypical point that leads to racism and classism.

War on Drugs

Drugs are severely addictive substance that our body can live upon. Since the Late 1970's President Nixon had popularized the prohibition of drugs and later been called as the "War on Drugs". There are a lot of interpersonal relationships to this matter; this includes the use of Alcohol, Marijuana, etc by drug victims and dealers.
Since the inauguration of the contextual law of prohibition of drugs, arrests and incarcerations have been indicted. During the prohibition of alcohol, alcohol was somewhat of a illegal drug those times. There have been a lot of unsatisfied people on this law, so they tend to disobey it by the underworld works(productions of alcohol on cellars, secret transportations of drugs). In the late 1990's about a million of Americans were arrested each year due to drug dealership and use of drugs. These days, we can see that many people are addicted to Marijuana. It has some sort of addictive substance -- if used, it will be hard to stop. Teens have been acquainted for drug dealerships of Marijuana all over United States.
Furthermore, racism is concurrent to drug dealership. Blacks are the most prolific drug dealers in this society. due to racism, even innocent black people were sentenced for drug dealing. It is inevitable due to the horrific history of racism in this society. Higher ups perceptions of black are somewhat incomprehensible. They predictably think if a black person has no job then they are most likely to be a drug dealer. This will lead to racism and stereotyping.
The war on drugs have been affecting each and everyone. Thoughts of money and desire have been inflicted to this situation. Abductions of dealers will give money to the abductors, and dealers will experience and easy money life in accordance to chaotic situation. It's a vise versa transactional situation. Alcohol, Marijuana, and other illegal drugs are still swarming around the hood, and dealers will continue to dominate.

What is Truth?

These days, we are confused on what to believe in. Whether its the reality we experience, or the beliefs we lived upon our lives. It is inevitable for each individual to be influenced by these persuasive act of media or religious norms. The truth, is the one who gives us the conflict of one another because we live in an influential society.
Media has the biggest impact on what to believe. Obviously, everyone of us is brainwashed by different kinds of entertainment. We don't realized whether the thing that we see is a fact or just a false pretenses. We could say that UFOs are real, and the media will prove that via a technological means. They can create a virtual image which can deceived our eyes and mind in accordance to their persuasive statements. Furthermore, it has a big contribution to Political Industry. Through media, we can watch the happenings in any Political situation and we perceived it as the truth.
Moving on, religious groups has their own persuasion on the religious truth. They have disputed that media gives a demonic influence to us, through their observation and through the comparison of their contexts. They have said that Media especially on the "Music Industry" has the biggest contribution on influencing a drastic and satanic doings. I have seen a couple of a religious videos talking about the "rain man". This "rain man" which is always appears on the lyrics of many artists' songs, has a meaning to the religious personnels. They refer it to as the Satan, and through the physical actions on the "music videos"; viewers tend to mimic them. Those "Physical actions" have a symbolic meaning for religious experts. Because of this, I was kind of convinced that it is the truth. Not only me, but many other viewers have meditated on this.
We are just naive living creature in this world. We are easily influence and easily believe on a certain matter. Additionally, we cannot imposed to be a perfect being in which we don't believe to anything. If there's God then there's God. If there's demon then there's demon. because of that, we believe on a certain fact whether its media or religion.

US and Neocolonialism

Colonialism had been really a hit during 16th to 20th century. Western countries were the one's who started colonizing territories all over the world. European are the most influential country that brought others to do as well especially United States of America. To gain power, United States have been one of the colonizing empire in the history and influence them with their economic and political systems.
United states have influenced a couple of countries. Looking back from the past, one of the country that they have colonized was Philippines. Philippines was acquired by the Americans from the chaotic battle with the Spaniards. Since then, Americans have been influencing Filipinos with a westernized economic systems. Education had been a big part of it, in which English is spoken daily in the country. The immigration and migrations between two countries have been prolific. Towering buildings have been populating the area, and economists were scattered all over. Moreover, the product exchange increase in demand in which the economy had risen drastically. The type of clothing and trend was a big hit in the society, and local people have been trading in good products.
These days, US is the most powerful country. Because of the title it holds, it is inevitable that influential factors from US are spread all over the world. The type of military methods are still in a role to the colonized country back in the day. Media as well had been a big part of the neocolonialism of the United States. In different parts of the world, every media are getting an idea from US's media system – obvious fact of influence.
In conclusion, due to the power that US acquires. The tendency of neocolonialism are high. Influential factors economically is inevitable. Weaker countries leans on the the economical help from US. Media, Fashion, and Trading industry are the “Big Three” of neocolonialism of United States.

The End of Books as We Know Them ?

As a reader I tend to be more auspicious of my reading materials. It varies on its appearance or the content of ones material. Due to this modernizing world, we cannot elude from the new technologies that have been populating our interests. Because of this, books and any old-fashioned written materials have been deteriorating due to proliferating technology.
Since the era of cellphones aggrandized an intellectual's mind, we are captivated with its amazing functionality. Mails and other stationary systems have been deteriorating drastically. Mankind were easily brainwashed by the persuading commercials and other means of media. Since then, we can see from child to adult; everybody have a certain gadget that they are holding. Whether at home or at public, it is inevitable.
Moreover, the effect of this matter have affected the book merchandising industry. Apple, Samsung, LG, and other big technological companies have stepped-on their ways to eliminate the traditional book making industry gradually. From my observations, I myself have slobbered to the world of technology. I was somewhat enslaved with the curse of technology. I cannot elude away since it has a captivating charisma that even I cannot withstood. The so called “tablet” have been really a top-notch for its “user's friendly” aspect. Because of this, even a flimsy wicked looking old person can have a knowledge in this so called “tablet”. The zooming feature of this gadget can make the letters bigger and wider which can be a really “user's friendly” to those who have a weak eyesight. The contingency of rapid deterioration of franchising an old-fashioned book is big.
Finally, as years continues to revolves, and people gains new knowledge. We won't be wondering if the world will begin to the era of “the extinct books”. Scientists are craving for the discoveries of the unknown, so the tendency of the elimination of traditional books is high.

Academic English writing is an important subject matter that should be mandatorily taught in any educational situation.  Judging from this era, we are eloquently influence by technologies. It is because every employer especially big companies are professionally train in any Academic English implications. They will know every single error that is given on your essay or resume. Evidently, employers will never hire any person who has a low level of academic English knowledge.

About Me

My name is Abraham Fernandez. I'm just a guy who has the same dream as what any typical people do. I currently resides in Chicago particularly at Rogers Park (near Loyola University). I'm pretty much a quiet type of guy, yet a friendly and approachable person. So let me tell you about myself...

I'm currently 18 years old, but i look younger judging from my appearance. I was born 13,774.04 kilometers away from USA which is the Philippines. A very tropical country and has a lot of fancy stuff;moreover, i have lived there for 15 years and my family decided to migrate to USA. My experience of schooling way back in my country is harder if i compare it to my high school experience here in America. I love studying, and i always aim to get good grades of any of my classes. Like most of the teens these days, i have done crazy doings as well, specially disobeying your parents. I have never failed to please them with my grades, so sometimes i get a little bit naughty
Obviously, most of the people say that “music is my life,” apparently I belong to that group. I can play different kinds of instruments which are guitar, bass, drums, and piano. I love rock songs especially 80's rock songs. I love singing especially during occasions like Christmas and New Year. We blissfully sing until we reach our limit by the use of karaoke. Funnily speaking, I have improved my vocal voice because of that.
Finally, I act nice if people are nice to me, and I'll be cruel if they treat me negatively.
